Frequently asked questions

The questions we are asked most often about PescaraBus.it and about comparing the bus companies.

Is PescaraBus.it free?

Yes. The service is free and we charge no booking fee: you pay the operator exactly the fare the operator quotes.

What do I see here that a single company's site would not show me?

Every available departure for your route, from every operator, on one screen, with the real price for your group. A bus company's own site shows only its own services — to compare them you would have to open each of them in turn and repeat the same search every time.

Are the fares real or estimated?

Real. They are requested from the operators' systems at the moment you search, for the number and type of passengers you entered. Bus fares move with availability, so they can change between searches — exactly as they do on the company's own site.

And not only the headline fare: the search also shows what return discount each operator gives you, and what each child pays at their age, under that company's own age bands. Those are the two things that move the total most — and the two no single site lets you compare.

How do child fares work?

Every bus company uses different age bands: the same child can travel free with one operator, at a reduced fare with another and at a full fare with a third. Give each child's age and we ask every company for the price of that exact group — and the family total can change which operator is cheapest.

What about return trips?

We show two prices per departure: the discounted fare if the same operator carries you both ways, and the full fare if you use them for one leg only. Results split into tabs — outbound, return, both — with the total for the complete trip and the whole group, so you can see whether one company or two combined costs less.

Can I buy the ticket here?

No. PescaraBus.it compares and forwards: you complete the purchase on the chosen company's official site, with route, date and passengers already set.

Which bus companies are compared?

FlixBus, ItaBus, ClikBus, ProntoBus, DiCarlo Bus, Satam Bus, MarinoAutolinee. Not all of them serve every route: the search shows only the operators that actually run the route you asked for.

Does PescaraBus.it include every bus company?

No, and we would rather not imply otherwise. We compare 7 companies — the main operators on these routes, but not every coach company in Italy. If you find one serving a route here that we are missing, tell us: adding it is our job, not yours.

How recently was the price checked?

At the moment you searched. Every search queries the operators' systems when you press Search, so the price is as old as your search — not yesterday's, not this morning's. If you leave the page open for a while, search again: bus fares move with availability.

Why do two journeys on the same route take different times?

Because they do not take the same road. Some services run direct; others call at Chieti, Pratola Peligna, Avezzano or the airport on the way, and every stop adds time. The results show each journey's duration and, where the operator publishes them, the intermediate stops — so a cheaper service that takes two hours longer is a choice rather than a surprise. Absurd detours (more than 2.5× the fastest journey) are hidden automatically.

Can the price change after I click Book?

It can. We hand you to the operator's own site, and it is their system that sets the final price at payment — and bus fares move with the seats left. In practice the price almost always matches; when it does not, the operator's price is the one that counts. Check it before you pay, and if the difference is large, tell us: it means something in our reading is wrong.

Do I need an account?

No. No sign-up and no personal details to search.

Do buses to Rome arrive at Termini?

No. Long-distance coaches arrive at Roma Tiburtina coach station (Largo Mazzoni), not Termini. Tiburtina is on metro line B, a few stops from Termini.

Where do the times and prices come from, and what happens if they change?

Times, fares, stops and availability are what the bus companies themselves publish on their own sites and booking systems at the moment you search. PescaraBus.it shows them side by side: it does not set them, verify them or guarantee them.

They can change at any time, and a service can be cancelled or delayed. What the operator shows at the moment of purchase always prevails, on its own official site: that is where the contract of carriage is made — with them, not with us. PescaraBus.it accepts no responsibility for inaccuracies, changes or a journey not being run.

Luggage, refunds and changes

These are set by the conditions of the company you travel with, not by PescaraBus.it. You will find them on the operator's site before you complete your purchase.
